Music video shot entirely on an iPhone
The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) —
Filed under: Video, iPhone, Jailbreak/pwnage Behold, what is claimed to be the world's first music video shot entirely on an iPhone. This gem comes to us from GOSHone, A self-described "mad scientist with computers, gadgets, and musical equipment and stuff," G1 used his jailbroken iPhone and a copy of Cycorder to produce what I can only describe as a little slice of wonderful. I can't verify with any certainty that this is, in fact, the "world's first," but I'm going to go with it. GOSHone says that, while making the video was fun and relatively ...
Rapper Records Entire Music Video With iPhone
Wired: Gadget Lab —
A rap artist apparently liked the iPhone's mediocre camera enough to record an entire music video out of it (above). GOSHone claims his project is the "first music video shot on an iPhone." That's a bold claim, but I can't say I've seen anything else like it. And heck, compared to most independent YouTube videos, it's pretty damn good. The artist says he used an iPhone app called Cycorder, which only Jailbroken (i.e., hacked) handsets can run. YouTube [via TUAW]

World’s First Music Video Shot On An iPhone
Podcasting News —
GOSHone claims that his video forNewteknowledge is the first music video shot entirely on an iPhone.
It was filmed using a jailbroken iPhone 3G using Cycorder. Edited using After Effects, since Final Cut didn’t like the resolution from Cycorder.
The video itself isn’t especially notable, but the fact that it was shot an an iPhone is. The iPhone isn’t capable of great quality video, and that may be why Apple hasn’t allowed official video apps.
Nevertheless, the video demonstrates that the iPhone is capable of useful video. ...
First music video made on an iPhone
CrunchGear —
GOSHone has made what he claims is the world’s first music video shot on an iPhone. He used iPhone video program, Cycorder, on a jailbroken iPhone and edited it in Adobe After Effects.
I don’t know if this is actually the very first iPhone music video, but by the looks of it, it very well may be. Regardless, enjoy a 1:47 tribute to geek-dom and download his free album “ctrl_alt_ego”. Go check it out, it is definitely worth a look.

Worlds first music video shot on iPhone? maybe?
MAKE Magazine —
Although we tend to shy away from anyone calling their project a "first", this video claims to be the "first music video shot entirely with an iPhone" using a jailbroken phone and the "Cycorder" application which lets you record video directly to the flash drive of the phone. In any case, we still don't understand why Apple hasn't made video capabilities part of its iPhone OS yet? Apple care to comment?

Goodnight, sweet Mino: Music Video shot end-to-end on an iPhone 3GS
MobileCrunch —
Hm - perhaps those iPhone 3GS mounts aren’t as silly as we thought (Not really- they’re still silly.)
When videographer Kenny Mosher was tasked with shooting a music video for acoustic-folk band BJSR, he decided to skip the usual rig for something a bit more relevant in the moment: the iPhone 3GS.
Now, this music video isn’t the first of its kind; rapper GOSHone recorded one on a jailbroken iPhone 3G, months before Apple ever condoned video recording on any of their mobile handsets. That said, it’s the first we know of shot through an ...
Tim Conneally's Concerto for Guitar and iPhone, Op. 2
Betanews —
By Tim Conneally, Betanews
The creative end of the music industry is drawing ever closer to a nexus: a point where composing, recording, distributing and publicizing music meets. You could be holding it in your pocket right now, and it's not the same point of convergence sold by the ounce that drove the industry in the past. It's the ubiquitous, lionized, and oh-so-lucrative iPhone. Recording tasks that were once executed by huge studios are being accomplished in smaller and smaller settings: the demo studio was supplanted by the home studio, which was in turn replaced by the even smaller PC/laptop studio. Indie pop band The 88 made the ...
