If Apple were a country, it would be Singapore -- capitalist, yes, but tightly controlled for both morality and dissent. Apple recently deleted an application called Wallpaper Universe from the iPhone App store. The program featured photo wallpapers of scantily clad maidens, which apparently made Apple uncomfortable. ... Why do people not understand that you are working for Apple when you develop for the iPhone? It's not even trying to trick people into thinking the ecosystem is open, or that devs aren't unpaid work-made-for-hire: Apple's right to make arbitrary and inscrutable decisions is right there in the contract you sign!
This is not an argument for Apple's shiny golden godhood, but for "If you don't like it, don't do it."
