Microsoft’s Tellme unit was thought to be working on a voice activated search on a number of phones including the Apple iPhone; this should be due for launch soon. You have to wonder why there is not a Windows Mobile version of Seadragon yet; one of the reasons is because the iPhone uses accelerated graphics, many cell phones running on Windows Mobile does not.

Seadragon is also the mainstay of Microsoft’s Photosynth that allows users to gather a group of images and stitch them together into a faux 3D environment. So the thing is, why has Microsoft launched this app for the iPhone before their own platform? Any ideas?
