Apple announce DRM free music on iTunes at Macworld 2009

Apple has stated that 8 out of 10 million songs on iTunes are available DRM free as of now while the other 2 million will become DRM free by March.
However, Apple will not provide users who previously brought DRM music on iTunes with DRM free versions free of cost; rather Apple insists Apple iPhone users upgrade their exiting DRM tracks to DRM free format at a cost of 30 cents per song or 30% of the album price.
