Xiobing also reported that China Unicom is looking at an increased sales revenue for the 4th quarter although costs for the company may increase due to iPhone subsidies and advertising which may lead to decreased profits. The lack of WiFi functionality and the high costs soured the Unicom deal for many interested customers who are now opting in for an unlocked iPhone imported from other countries.
