Ballmer: Microsoft working on App Store-like software distribution

Microsoft is working on a software distribution scheme like Apple's iPhone App Store, but has no plans to use the Webkit rendering engine to power Internet Explorer, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at a developer's conference in Sydney.
