There are lots of apps that allow you to type something in one language and have it translated into another language, but if you don't want to type, Lex Friedman of Macworld reviews a $2 app called Bableshot. Take a picture of some text with your iPhone and the app will scan the picture to find all of the text, and then translate that text into English.
